Adopt a Daughter Makes Home Transitions Easy

I’m Kirsten Clarke, owner of Adopt a Daughter. I created Adopt a Daughter with the sole purpose of helping seniors or people just like you deal with the often overwhelming tasks of organizing, de-cluttering, downsizing, renovating or transitioning your home. I work with each of my clients one on one—in your home and at your own pace—to ensure you make a comfortable transition with complete satisfaction.

Your only job is to tell what you want. My job is to make it happen and take the stress out of moving or organizing for you.

Take the complexity out of simplifying.

How does it work? When we first meet, I describe all of the options available to move you to your next stage and I provide you with a quote. Once we agree on what works for you, I manage all the details on your behalf. I am an expert at de-cluttering, managing small repairs and renovations, staging, and home selling and buying. I can help you through all of these processes efficiently and at the pace you desire.

Consultative, curious, and patient with a gentle strength—these combined traits help me and Adopt a Daughter achieve the best results for you.

If you’re ready to get started, please contact me. I look forward to assisting you!

About Kirsten Clarke

For more than 25 years, I have built a thriving career in real estate, both in Vancouver and Toronto. I love supporting people—particularly seniors—through the big transition of moving. In the face of what can be a complex and overwhelming process, I make it my mission to reduce the stress associated with moving and/or downsizing for my clients. I want you to feel truly satisfied about the process and your new home.

The emotional importance of this work struck me quite personally a number of years ago when my mother became ill. She needed help to “organize her stuff” while she focused on her health. That is when I realized how overwhelmed and unprepared even I was for this stage of life. But undaunted, I rolled up my sleeves and put my professional knowledge to work to help her simplify her life.

Going through this process and seeing the results was incredibly rewarding. I had found my calling. I then began providing home organization and moving support to other seniors, busy professionals, or people who simply don’t know where to begin when it comes to organizing their belongings.

Depending on the circumstance, a home transition can be an exciting prospect or a difficult one. But it is always a deeply personal experience—one that I empathize with and want to support you through. I know that moving or downsizing is more than just relocating belongings. It is about honouring your life and caring for your memories. I take that responsibility very seriously and work to lighten the load of your transition and leave you feeling clarity, empowered and satisfied by the results.
